THE REVIEW COLLECTOR
Believe it or not, there is other places where one might finde interesting or well written reviews. Here is a collection of them, updated as I stumble upon them.

HOLE - retard Girl (Sympathy for the record industry) (Translated) "Flipside" (who featured Hole on their cover) and "Falling" James Moreland (who co-produced this seven inch) may be able to know what makes this band a "shiney diamond" of the SFTRI-curiosity-show. The rest of the world has a hard time understanding, because "retard girl" is hardly original noiserock between Grunge and Garage. Unfortunately mediocre. Yet I bet the guy who reviewed this wishes he kept the single in his collection because he might see things different today. |

NIRVANA / THE FLUID - split 7" (Sup Pop Singles Club) (Translated): Sup Pop veterans meeting in the singles club that grew from 2.000 to 7.500 members in just one year. What? You are no member yet? Then you are missing this great live rock experience, in which The Fluid, Colorado's main rockspaceship par excellence, wins out. Deathlike Power with their favourite "Candy". In comparison Nirvana are mediocre, with the unreleased pop-jewel "Molly's Lips", which consists of only two chord changes, as Kurdt Kobain (sic!) mentioned with a grin at their concert in Gammelsdorf. It's the small things in life, that give the most joy. Especially to the reviewer today, if he kept this single in his collection, because he might see things very very different today. Phew, The Fluid better than Nirvana?? |

JACK FROST - "Eden" (CCP) (Translated): The impression on CD still being halfway okay dark-slowmotion-metal degenerates down endlessly after the live show. Incredible Posers! Abuse St. Vitus without a spark of originality! Wipe their hair more often than Rumpelstilzchen-Glenn or any suburbian hairdresser! Looking for appreciation in the audience after any nervewrecking guitar noodling! Had the mysterious aura of a chocolate egg. Just deep. A few weeks after publication of this review, the write was attacked by a drunken member of Jack Frost and in true metal style had his toast destroyed. Very evil. |

TOMAHAWK - "mit Gas" (Ipecac) I saw Faith No More on their "The Real Thing" tour back in fuck knows when and during one song the sound engineer keeled over, hit the desk and the dials spun like a skinny pole-dancer. The sound went incredibly fucking loud and shit went to hell. This sounds like that seminal moment of my youth. |
