Four years after her near-grandprix smash hit "sama" my sweetes one (moja slata?) is back to, as it seems, bring back some purity into the bitched-up "turbofolk" (see extreme bitch examples Seka Aleksic, Indira Radic, Stoja, Ceca, and so on). Unfortunately, she has separated from the Juzni Vetar standard sounds of the late Eighties some time ago and that is why professional, quite boring structures, close to Spanish pop (Torremolinos holiday 2002), as it is, onto which the usual turkish doodling gravy has been squashed. A hint of rest-yugoslawia is blowing through here and there as well. Real hits haven't been found, and it all sounds quite depressive. Dragi seems to have experienced a lot in the last years, which she is working off now. What counts is her voice and that will always open my heart. All time top 5: |
