Yes, this
is the same record already reviewed when Richie from Interstellar sent it
to me as a demo. Now he gave it to me again with full cover and
I’ll say it rocks even more. The titles of the songs give away a lot,
like “It takes guts to tango”, the first song, which has the eternal
lines “When you love, you never feel the same again / when you really
love, you feel the trouble and the pain / when you really really love, you
feel insane / and when you stop to love – here is the feeling again”.
There is more disillusioned poetry, wrecked and torn by the torrents of
the urban nightmare and the hell that are relationships, in here. Check
out “100 % addict”, which is the anti-thetical song to Robert
Palmer’s “addicted to love”. Same theme, two completely different
viewpoints. Unfortunately, the lyrics to “the smell of a woman lying
next to you at 5 A.M.” are only printed in Croatian. Musically, just
re-read the old review – nothing has changed there. Still top-notch,
hard hitting noise-rock better than all of the alternative pseudo-Sixties
music that is so fab today taken together. |

I want to use the rest of this review, since there is not a lot more left
to say, for a hearty thank you to my friend Richie from Interstellar
Records, for being an all around great guy. He has his own set of views and
he tries to live by them. More so than a lot of people I know, who talk a
lot more about their own set of conduct. Yeah, deeds speak louder to me than
words. And after all, the only thing that lasts is friendship. (If it is
real friendship.) It’s true, with us two everything seems to take a little longer than
expected. Or even a lot longer. But in the end, it is definitely worth it. Richie, please do come over anytime. You know where I live. There is
always a beer in the freezer for you (now we have a freezer!) |
